Miscommunication

Scenario

While working in a group of 7, some members had conflicting opinions and ideas. They had an argument as they did not come to a common conclusion. 

Cause of the conflict

Poor communication skills and domineering personality.

Resolution

  • To encourage effective communication, have group members take turns about voicing their opinions.  
  • To combat domineering personalities, create time to hear all everyone’s opinion and make sure members understand that it is vital to respect everyone’s suggestions and ideas.
