Different Types of Learners in the Classroom

When it comes to the learning space of a college classroom, there are many aspects which can be considered a hinderance to certain types of learners. Nevertheless, when lectures occur, there are tools which help to initiate and stimulate the drive of different learners. Ironically enough, these stimuli can also be a hinderance to other learners.

    Visual Learners

  • Unable to focus if the information is only given via speech.
  • Learning can be helped via the usage of slides and gestures by the lecturer.
    Auditory Learners
  • Unable to focus if only given the reading material of the session.
  • Learning can be helped via audio cues and informative speech.
    Kinesthetic Learners
  • Unable to efficiently learn by passively listening in a lecture.

  • Experiments and Physical activities help with learning.
