Maps and Diagrams

Before I explain the memory techniques of maps and diagrams, I will explain first about memory. Memory is the ability to remember past experiences, and a record of the learning process. Having a good memory is important and beneficial for the students to have better academic performance.

The memory techniques I want to introduce is the maps and diagrams techniques. Graphic organisers helps us remember by connecting new information to our existing knowledge and to let us see how concepts relate to each other and fit into a context. Examples of maps and diagrams, are Mind and Concept Maps, Cause and Effect, Fishbone, Cycle, Flow Chart, Venn Diagrams and Ladders. Students can utilise this technique to take notes and have better memory of material learned.
